Privacy policy

My Busy Nest is operated by Justin Hoskins. This policy describes the current private test app and this support website. Questions or requests: justinhoskins54@yahoo.com.

Information the app uses

How information is used and shared

We use this information to sign you in, connect family members, show tasks and events, share family posts, and send requested notifications. Parents manage family tasks and invitations. Family board posts and selected calendar events are visible to connected members of that family.

Supabase provides authentication, database, file storage, and server processing. Google provides calendar access and the Gmail service used to deliver sign-in emails. Expo and Apple help deliver notifications and distribute the test app. This website is hosted using OpenAI Sites and its infrastructure providers. These services process information needed to deliver their functions.

My Busy Nest does not include advertising, sell personal information, or use Google Calendar information to train AI models. We do not add advertising trackers or analytics scripts to this website.

Google Calendar permissions

Google’s read-only permissions let My Busy Nest list calendars you can access and read events. My Busy Nest shares only the calendar the parent selects with the family. It does not create, change, or delete Google Calendar events. Authorization credentials are stored on the server, not shared with other family members.

My Busy Nest’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Children and parents

This version is a private family test. Parents create child profiles and issue invitations; children sign in with email accounts. Parents should supervise use and avoid posting sensitive information or photos of people without permission. Public registration for children is not being offered through this website. A public release requires a parental-consent process and additional child-privacy preparation before launch.

Retention and deletion

Account and family information is kept to provide the service until it is deleted. Parents and authors can remove board posts. A parent can disconnect the selected calendar in the app; this removes the connection and cached events from the family’s app data. You can also revoke My Busy Nest’s access in your Google Account connections.

To request deletion or access to your information during private testing, email support from your account email. We verify the request before acting. Deleting the app from a device does not delete the account. Copies in service backups and operational logs may remain according to the service providers’ retention processes; information already seen or saved by another family member cannot be recalled.

Security and choices

Family data is protected by account and membership checks. Board photos use private storage. No service can promise absolute security. You can decline photo or notification permissions, disconnect Google, or contact us about your information.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change. Material changes for a public launch will be explained before public registration opens.
